This week we have been fairly busy with one thing or another. On tuesday night John and I went to Wellington police station for a police indiction evening. John got to meet some of the people he'll be training with and got to talk to some of the training staff. They also talked us through what his 2 years of training will involve. He's really excited. Some of the stuff they do looks pretty intresting, I'm so happy for him. The degree he'll be doing is "professional policing and law"
Theres quite a few perks to the job of being a police officer, one being that they offer their own private health insurance at a really cheap rate. Only police staff and their family can join it. We decided to sign up to it. Not that theres anything really wrong with the NHS but if we ever need any medical treatment we wont be put on a waiting list.
Yesterday i took Ben for his eye check up. Good news, the consultant said his bleed has completley cleared up and his vision is doing great so theres no need for anymore check ups until he's 3. They finally discharged him. Me and John are so happy, it's been a long 15 months with all of Bens health issues, but we've finally come to the end of them. I think Ben will be pretty relieved that he won't have to have anymore lights shine in this eyes or drops put in them, he's not too fond of them - poor kid.
John is off work this weekend, we have no plans as of yet to what we're going to do. We'll probably end up doing some DIY as the weather is so bad it's not worth going out anywhere really. I hope we get a nice summer this year! Last year was awful, we had all that flooding, so fingers crossed we'll have a better year!
